Beauty Haul

Have really been into trying some new products– Some of these were gifts that I’ve only started using now, some gratis, and others that I did purchase myself. There’s a mix of high-end, drugstore, skincare, and makeup so I feel like there is definitely a Beauty/Skincare Review/(Empties!) blog post in the future!

From top to bottom we have

1.Kiehl’s Dark Spot Corrector
2.Lancome Regenerie Night Repair,
3. [ELF – eye lips face — 150 piece eyeshadow palette]
So excited, although this is going to be crazy to swatch!! I’ve only used the colors on the very right column so far–
4.Chanel – Inimitable Intense Mascara, and Aqua Vitalumiere in Beige 30
Then for some
5. MAC PatentPolish Lip Pencil
6. MAC PatentPolish Lip Pencil
7. MAC – Pinkfridge Lipstick from the Proenza Schouler line (enjoying this packaging)
I’ve been a bit into spring lip products especially bright matte colors. $22

Lastly a quick stop at Target today where I got the
8. Rimmel Stay Matte powder in translucent (just to set under eye concealer, etc)
9. Covergirl’s Lash Blast Mascara in Black. $7

I haven’t actually tried any of these before, but I’ve seen many a Beauty Blogger rave about these as far as the drugstore dupes go. I will post reviews on some of these hopefully on my monthly favorites!

Also, in light of this: eyeing this graphic tee from Nordstrom:

Might actually do a quick painting of this for my closet area 🙂

Feb Faves

Not quite the end of this short month, but I’m excited to share what I’ve been up to. Here are my picks for this month—-

Artist: Brendan Monroe

Book: Game of Thrones – A Clash of Kings

Movie: Ender’s Game (surprise surprise, watched it twice)

TV Show: House of Cards Season 2 (Finished in less than a week!) / WALKING DEAD

Game: Super Mario Bros (New [2009]) Wii (almost beat)

Food Discovery: Coconut Milk Yogurt – ***** Best substitute for dairy yogurt

New Product: Nars Creamy Radiant Concealer (Vanilla) / Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Moisturizer

The Kiehl’s U.F.M. is great– I have tried many of their other products and a few feel heavy/sticky on the skin due to how thick the formulas are. This however, was different, it was lighter, went on smooth and did not break me out. I actually started using it for the areas I was going to apply concealer (under the eye) but as it is winter this moisturizer was great over my whole face, and hands! Would definitely recommend this product to anyone who has dry or combination skin.
